To be out of one's element. Everything here is made of water, and cold. Our presence is resented, our warmth, our otherness.
We can choose: we could let the environment push us away, or we could try to change it to suit our needs. Or, we could simply carve out a corner that will allow us to survive, and observe the world around us. A world of cold, a world of water; a world apart sitting above and below us.
Being out of one's element isn't always a bad thing.
