The Six Feet Under Contest

I may end up entering two here!!

But this one first: "The day my world crashed" . The word count is 1949.

I've been writing the story this belongs to for a very long time. I have a fair amount of the aftermath written (too much to ever put here) but this piece works exactly for the prompt: a death and the immediate aftermath/reaction by the survivor.

Interestingly, I think that the aftermath (the other bits I've written) is some of the best stuff I have written.
