Noticing Newbies

For someone who hates introductions, you do very well!!!

Welcome to WDC! I'm pretty confident you'll like this place. We're all a friendly bunch of members and staff and will try to answer any questions you may have. We're also encouraging, and I'm pretty sure no one will tell you writing lifelike character dialogue is a no-no. Seriously??? Wow. Every author has their own style and that style helps them to stand out. If we all listened to each and every rule and trend, our stories would sound the same.

ANYway... If you've got writer's block, this place will crack through it! There are lots of contests and activities to participate in, if you choose to. Nothing like a good prompt to spark a seized up brain!

I have a feeling you are going to fit in nicely.

Since you're so good at introductions, you might want to fill in your BIO block in your portfolio. That's a good place to start. Also, take a look at "Writing.Com 101" , but don't let it overwhelm you. It's a great place to reference when you have a question... or just ask one of us...either way.

If you like to set goals for yourself, check out "Weekly Goals" . You'll get paid GPs (gift points) for posting your weekly goals and updates.

Now go get a cup of coffee (or tea or water or whatever) and do some browsing through the site. Take your time. And hopefully we will see more of you!
