1. Writing Assignment for Beginning Poets:
Generate a word cloud as Carol Light instructs us to do. Start with a bit of language that interests you, such as Light's "Ambition bit her." Then begin to make sonic associations into a word cloud in your notebook. Use that word cloud to generate a poem, and post your finished poem to the forum.

For whatever reason, my word cloud came out something like this:
Depression - serious - hierarchy monarchy - mercy - rebel - alliance - reliance - infant - need - post-partem - ignorance

Without Reason
Stuck in miasma,
without reason de-
pressed from all sides;

serious sentence,
Look out below!
Monarchy crowned,
hierarchy show.

No mercy for rebels,
rely on ally, no support.
Babe but an infant,
green with need;

Posted parting,
yet unknown,
without reason,
the ignorance you know.
