I think publishers or agents want to know you are willing to make money for yourself and them by building a readership. Me personally, I am an introvert. Hell, it takes a lot for me to join a site such as this and post on a forum!

I have a mediocre web site but just don't know how much I want to put "myself" out there other than sharing my stories!

I'm soon to be published at Cobblestone Press and haven't been pressed to self promote but I will be submitting a photo and follow the company's suggestions.

I'll let you know more when I find out.
