October Novel Prep Challenge

I started on my character sheet, got about three characters in, realized I was spinning my wheels, that these were the same characters from last nano and I was probably wasting my time. I know they were acting like I was. "You already know the answer to that question." LOL

So I looked at the clock saw I put in more than my 15 minutes, opened up ywriter5 exported the characters list then imported it back into the new story. No more fighting with the blank screen and uncooperative characters.

Just so no one thinks I am cheating. One of my external conflicts from last year was not working so I am scraping it and rewriting with a mind toward a more dystopian society. I'm going to be really stupid and take on what happens if the NRA gets its way and we have no laws governing our right to bear arms.

Hot topic to take on, I know. It ranks right up there with all the other hot topics that all involve one group of people trying to oppress another group of people while screaming about their own rights being violated. Any writer taking it on either has ovaries of steel or doesn't want to get published. I'm currently not sure which category I fall under.
