A Major Minor Character?
While working on my first minor character I often think if she is so minor. When I think of books with more than one major character I wonder if I am not giving my characters enough credit. In the Harry Potter series you have Harry, Hermione, and Ron. They are all major characters. What about Dumbledore, Snape, McGonagall? Are they considered minor characters since the story isn't revolved around them but they play a huge part.
I have my main character, Cheyenne. Then I have the leader of the village and her friend, both these seemingly minor characters are important but they range on the minor/major. Am I overthinking this? Is there really a point to categorize them as minor/major?
