No worries on offending me; I'm straight up Pagan. So far as I am concerned, all faiths have a place in the world; it's when those faiths start becoming tribal and exclusionary that we have a problem.

The reason all the Loas correspond to Saints was so slaves could practice their African religions without alerting their masters. So the Saints and the Loas became entwined as a means of maintaining their ties to Africa at a time when white slavers were determined to essentially beat it out of them.
