October Novel Prep Challenge

My book doesn't fit in the Fantasy Genre, but that doesn't mean my characters don't believe in those things. I have spoken with a medieval British scholar and she told me exactly the same thing you did and even pointed me toward a book to read that deals with what people in that time period believed about elves and forest spirits and whatnot. Since a group of people in my story are nomads, their beliefs about what lives in the woods and fields will absolutely play a part in my story.
