That totally would have irritated me, especially if it was multiple instances in the same book.

If I wouldn't put it in a school paper... Oh my, I don't know if my memory is that good. I haven't written a paper for school in more than 10 years! But I get your drift.

Reading this makes me feel like I'm already on the right track. I already have a holy well in the story and am interested in incorporating the belief in faeries, elves, and spirits without making it the focal point of the story. You mentioned so many good things and the more times people mention something they think I should include, the more likely it will be to get in there somehow.
