Noticing Newbies

My name's Carrie. I started writing for a few content sites about six months ago, but the work is really slow right now. My husband just got laid off, so I went from bringing in extra spending money to being the only source of income. We have an amazing two year old daughter. I'd like to improve my writing skills and make some friends. Being a stay at home mom can be isolating. I'm also hoping to make some connections and find some work. Any advice or conversation would be much appreciated.
