Noticing Newbies

I've been a member on this site for a few months now; however, I've never actually done anything with it, just signed in, read a bit on how to get started, and have never taken the plunge due to nerves and interruptions from the outside. Yes, I have a video game habit. Yes, I now have a work habit. Here's to taking the plunge, finally introducing myself, and learning to use the site. Hopefully I can get my writing in gear. Writer's block is a very large hurdle for me a majority of times.

I will say I tend to like most types of writing but mainly action-y stories with some mystery set in semi-realistic and or fantasy settings.

Poetry though. I do not have any knowledge on the subject and many times can't tell what makes it good, bad, terrible, or great.......it's just mystifying even though I will find it enjoyable occasionally.

I look forward to seeing what the site offers and what all the other writers bring to the table. Now, if I don't keep nitpicking and worrying over this post then I'll never get it done!
