Some publishers are really strict about submitting anything that has appeared online. After a while a person can also sense which companies are likely to search deep into the the web to make sure the piece hasn't appeared anywhere.
It can make a person almost afraid to email a idea to a friend.
Well I found PrivnoteNot suitable for long pieces but short poems, ideas, etc sure.
