I've been told by several reviewers that one of my weaknesses is the overuse of exclamation points. Can you believe that?!
How else are you going to portray in such an efficient way that something was spoken with great enthusiasm?
To me, saying "Freeze! Put up your hands!" is much more effective than saying "Freeze. Put up your hands."
Yet, I get reviews saying "too many explanation points". Of course, if it was me doing the review then I would have said, "Too many exclamation points!"
