A support forum for writers dealing with mental illness |
After reading your question the first thing that popped into my mind is that God made us all. Why do we have these mental issues? Seriously. Was I made to have depression? I do believe it's a chemical imbalance, but I also think your environment has a lot to do with it as well. For example, I live with a very cynical person. He's not a positive person and is many times quite angry. He is loud and domineering. He doesn't mean to be that way, it's just how he's always been. I think it stems from fear. At any rate, I believe living in that kind of environment doesn't help with someone who's depressed. I think if I lived in a more positive environment my depression wouldn't be as bad as it is. But for the most part I believe that it's nature. ** Images For Use By Upgraded+ Only ** |
