Agreed! I mean, someone could say that there should be consistency in the way that violent events are handled across race/religion etc... and that would be a good point and not inflammatory at all. I think this group will be able to handle it. I have no one to talk to this shit about in real life!

Like, someone told me after one shooting last summer, "If someone is diagnosed with a mental illness, they should just be shot in the head." Obviously they didn't know I'd been diagnosed with a mental health disorder, but I couldn't really be like, "Oh really? Because I've been diagnosed with one!" Because, ya know... they might shoot me in the head.
