A support forum for writers dealing with mental illness |
Task 4: Write about a mental health cliche or stereotype that infuriates you. Yes I'm infuriated that I may not get the surgery I need so desperately. I will be needing serious back surgery in a few months needless to say I'm nervous about this surgery. I just found out by accident that some surgeons won't do surgery on Bi-Polar patient's. Their belief is Bi-Polar patients ask for meds after recovery (phantom pain recurrence.) My history will follow me, to this very important appointment, I will be asked a lot of questions, examined and I tend to have anxiety attacks. I want to add that I've got an eye patch on because I had cataract surgery last week. Please take this in account on the writing, spelling etc... |
