A Geoff-Will partnership would be hilarious, particularly if they were on the run and having to hide out inside Westside or even another school.

It also points out the basic trouble with him and Lisa and other undeveloped characters. They have to want something, and to want something specific. Or, at least, they must have a very strong desire for a general good which can then narrow into a strong desire for a specific instance of it. A lust for the opposite sex that can narrow into a lust for a particular person. A need for money that can narrow into a desire to grab a particular item of value. That's how you get a plot going, and the character develops as they chase the particular thing they want, by making choices and sacrifices, taking risks, etc. rugal's got the right instinct: Geoff could reveal a more developed character if you threw him into a situation where he needed to get to safety -- and where he revealed through his actions unexpected traits of envy and avarice, or of self-sacrifice and generosity.

But, for me at least, they must also have personalities that suggest desires. And by now Lisa has for me hardened into quiet, complacent air head. Throw her into trouble, and I think she'd just sit down and cry.
