I'm just ecstatic that a crossover is now thing.

As for the plot of BoM not overlapping, I'm perfectly okay without the masks at all. It would seriously raise a ton of questions of how magic would interact with David. The idea of it just sounds very complicated.

Small question, though, since Stellae isn't a thing in SB, does that mean the Durras brothers are just regular EHS students?
