If you're just doing freelancing, I might suggest looking into teaching English to kids from China, online. It's in their time zone and a little early (5-8 am your time, I believe, since you're in NY) but it's a decent-paying entry-job if I recall correctly. Some pay about $15/hour, and others pay up to $19. There is a webcam video interview process and some basic computer spec requirements, but as long as you're using a laptop and not a chromebook-type computer, you should be okay I think.
