Week 37 Form: Tricube
Form: Tricube  Open in new Window.
Unlike interlocking rubaiyat, the tricube is a newer form and relatively unknown. Plus, it’s fun and easy to learn. This mathematical poem was introduced by Phillip Larrea.

Number of Lines: 9


Rules:
*Bulletp* Each line contains three syllables.
*Bulletp* Each stanza contains three lines.
*Bulletp* Each poem contains three stanzas.

Rhyme Scheme:
none required


Choices for the poets to make this week: Your poem can be about any topic.


Example:

resist

i avoid
dead end streets
like the plague

because i
don’t enjoy
backtracking

but the plague
is a street
with no end
