Won't say much, but... There's some chapters where you can see Kenandandra manifestations, and this isn't actual self-plugging. (I think I said too much?) The simplest way to explain it is when Will's set against the Test spell (the ripped page); the reason why he gets it so easily is because, as a Kenandandra, he has a sort of intuitive understanding of sigils. If you wanna see Kenandandra in action, read "A Gift from Kenandandra" - it essentially has Kenandandra intervening pretty much personally. You'll see Kenandandra manifesting within Will wherever there's math or computer code, since unlike the gifts of Perelandra which work with spoken languages, Kenandandra focuses on operative symbols - symbolic logic, sigils, equations, and so forth. Consider Harris, Will's father, as someone with a strong Kenandandran influence - as an engineer, his approach to things involves analysis, dissection and reconstruction of concepts and designs that can be eventually turned into machines and objects. You could say that the reason why Will has Kenandandra as a second ousiarch is...maybe because of inheritance? Then again: that depends on what Seuzz says. |
