Yeah, the Gremlins 2 video is a bit of lampshade hanging, with the Gremlin turning up to enforce Bellisario's Maxim   on the unfortunate workers.

If you want another example of lampshade hanging, try the chapter "Malacandran Moments"  . I've persistently hinted, though never actually said, that Miko's Katana is Kusanagi-no-Tsurugi, or the Grasscutter. Except of course, as Will observes in that chapter, the the real world Grasscutter predates the development of katanas. So drawing attention to the fact that I've written something that isn't actually realistic and drawing a line under it.

Then again, this is a setting where the magical objects can change their shapes. So in answer to Seuzz's question - yes, yes you probably can put a mask on the Libra.
