Refreshing golem mask memories could probably be done by taking off the golem shell from the golemized mask (I think there's some spell for that in the later pages (or use the reverse sigil approach)), then plopping the mask back on the original person.

So if you let someone resume their life and then put them back under again, the ungolemized mask would capture what they've been doning. Then you recoat with golem paste and take over control again.

Also, you should be able to give the original the memories of what it did under the golem mask by removing the shell and putting the mask on them.

I don't recall any stories that did this, but it seems logical as much as magic is logical.
