I mean, it's not the the blood from somebody wearing a mask fades instantly, it takes a couple minutes. The blood test doesn't take more than a couple seconds at most, and I don't see how the masks would impede insulin injections at all. I actually kinda liked that Shelly was made a diabetic. I also liked how the blood she used to unlock the book was because of the finger prick from the blood test. My mom has diabetes, so I thought it was a neat little detail. Got no answer for the hair cut thing though. That would be hard to explain. Maybe get a mask of a hairdresser and hang it on a golem, never go in for a haircut again.
