Once the physical imago is copied into a mask and is sealed, any changes in either the imago in the mask, or the original imago on the person do not affect each other. An example of this is when Will gets his imago reversed when the Libra places it back onto him in "Backwards From Where You Came" , and then even after "New Spells, and a New Complication" , when Will tries to wear the mask with his original imago in it, the imago in the mask itself doesn't change to match Will's current imago, and is still in it's non reversed state.
