So this is just going to be a short arc, but the idea is that book stuff is going to be happening all around Will, without Will being involved. It's been done before (including a Gary Chen/Kim Walsh switch) by Seuzz, but I wanted to play it a little lighter than the tragedy of Kim Walsh having her life stolen. The basic plot: Will has lost, regained and lost the Libra several times in this arc. Eventually he got rid of it, and it ended up in the hands of Ian Cowdray, a freshman with a crush on a classmate, Shelly Nolan. Cowdray gave it to her knowing she's a sucker for all things magic, and Nolan is a smart girl who was able to decipher enough Latin to make a mask of tennis coach Carmen Acuna... but not enough to understand how to get it off. Nolan tried to get Will to help her, but grew frustrated. Will, meanwhile, has continued his life, having been invited out by Lin Pol. This arc almost went very dark. The idea of a freshman student disappearing was something that would have instantly had a major impact on Westside, Acheson, and Saratoga Falls. But... Shelly Nolan, for all she is a terrible actress, isn't stupid. She'll get out of her situation pretty quickly without Will's help. The only question is who's help she will she get? And where might that lead? And what the hell does Lin want with Will, anyway? |
