A month-long novel-planning challenge with prizes galore. |
Hello all you fabulous NaNo Preppers! How are those wonderful stories shaping up? I hope the journey has been fantastic for you! So far, my journey has been okay, but now I need your help. I've been working on my plot, and working on my characters, and working, working, working on my prep for this current novel. Unfotunately, I've become flat out bored with my character and the premise of the novel. It's ho hum, dreary, and probably has been done to death. All this time I've had a nagging little tick that keeps tapping away at me. It's a crazy character that is demanding his story be told. Honestly, I told him to shut up, but he keeps invading my writing space. Today, I finally said, "The hell with the first novel, I've got to write this other novel." And the character is happy, and now he's got me at my desk plotting away. And he's dastardly indded. I want to make him an unreliable narrator and I want him to tell the story from an unusual place...like a prison cell...or a mental institution...yes, there's murder involved...and yes, it's going to be dark, but not so dark that I can't get the words on the page. So here's where I need some help. It's October 11th and NaNo starts in less that 3 weeks! That's not much time. What's the best way for me to get these ideas onto paper and get ready for NaNo...I'm really not a pantser, I'm a plotter. But if I have to become a pantser then what's the best way to do that? Any ideas are much appreciated! Thanks! Cheddah ** Images For Use By Upgraded+ Only ** ** Images For Use By Upgraded+ Only ** |
