Background: Born into a wealthy family, Cyril had the good fortune to receive an excellent education and was able to pursue his dream of being an inventor. This disappointed his father who wished for him to inherit the family business and expand the canning factory into other countries, something that never interested young Cyril.

He managed to create a name for himself by making improvements to long existing equipment. This won him accolades and the attention of the scientific community, regarding the boy as one of finest mechanical minds. With the money garnered from winning several contests, Cyril was able to finance an airship and assemble a loyal crew which follow him around the globe in his endless quest for knowledge.

But it is impossible to outrun the shadow of his heritage.

Despite his resistance to the idea, the meddling parents forced him into an arranged marriage with the daughter of a fellow businessman. Only agreeing to it once his work was finished, Cyril eventually resigned himself to the proposal and insisted that it wait until after the grand unveiling of his newest invention at the World Fair.

Strengths: Analytical, clever, kind-hearted, idealistic. Firm in his convictions and generous to his staff. Genuinely wants to make the world a better place.

Weaknesses: Naive to the misfortune of the downtrodden. Believes that hard work is always rewarded, that everyone can overcome the circumstances of their upbringing. Thinks himself a self-made man, blind to his own hypocrisy. Limited understanding of society at large. Quick tempered and stubborn.
