Noticing Newbies

Thanks. I would give an example but I m hesitant on placing it on here because it is still rough and I'm not ready for anyone to destroy it just yet. lol Luckily I am doing numbered chapters and I was already doing a break between to show. I figured worst case could fix when I edit it. I guess the best example I can give is that I am currently doing is something along the lines of:

Whatever para is here ends.

x years later in italics

The new para starts with context and etc.

I figured it would work until I could find a better way to show the time jump when I do edit the chapters and I don't lose my own place.

Edit: Although thinking about it, I might add my prologue and a couple chapters. It might be good to get some feedback and ask about the time break. And see what else I need to do.. sorry for the random edit but thanks for taking the time to answer!
