Nostrums idea about seeing a younger Martha is interesting. How do we know she hasn't come into contact with the Libra before? Maybe she once had it and lost it or got rid of it? She is a fairly mysterious character... the link to Cuthbert and Shabbleman blood would allow for the possiblity. Maybe that is how she escaped the rest of the family?
