I personally hate a slow book that just slowly putts along, then suddenly with a chapter to go, puts on the gas and resolves everything puzzle/conflict in a neat tidy way. Life is not that way. Reminds me too much of a bad TV show where they had to wrap up everything in 30 minutes.
