Someone (forgive me for not remembering who) made a comment in this forum or elsewhere about liking one branch in particular because it moved fast with lots of changes of face. I remembered that while writing this branch, so I decided to make this one move fast as well. There would be lots of chances in parallel branches to go slow instead.

So "The Gossip Girl"  makes another replacement. This time the poll was overwhelming aligned with the choice that I took. Again, authorial reasons played some part -- Kelsey is another perpetual victim of shenanigans -- but it was more tactical. Kim can get to Kelsey (though I tried to make it a little hard), she has tons of money, and she brings other advantages for a puppet master of Will's design.
