October Novel Prep Challenge

After a lot of thought, I have decided to junk most of my plot and back story. I felt it was getting too dark, and a long way from what I had originally envisioned. So, I have to rethink this.

Some part of what I have done can be retained, but I am going to make the story a lot lighter going forwards. I don't think I can write the background story today, although to be honest I already have written an opener, which I am happy with barring tweaks. So I shall think about it a bit more, and post Day 8 tomorrow. I have an idea to do a childhood holiday visit to a favourite uncle who happens to be an amateur magician. This is much preferable in my opinion to the double murder I was to write before i changed my mind.
