October Novel Prep Challenge

I'm still wrestling with my plot. I know the place, love the characters, but I've only got the small twists and turns, I don't know what the main conflict is.

So I'm a little fragile right now, and this plotting has me seriously reconsidering my ability to do any writing at all.--And last time I said anything remotely like this on a writing forum, I got a response from someone who told me that maybe I should try painting (that was on NaNo about 12 years ago). Can someone please tell me that I'm still a writer? I'm not looking for attention, I'm just feeling really stuck, or lost. Thanks, y'all.
