Well the fact that Will does not have memories means he does not have a band, that the others one have the memories make me think that they are actually not only victims but also Golems, cause if I remember correctly Golems get the memories right away and they were ordered to act like they were swapped, another possibility is just that they are focusing so much on being in character that they got the memories faster.

Also like you said this is kinda a breath of fresh air, in which Will is one of the swap victims but actually does not have the memories, normally he does get them, sometimes he even forgets he is Will, so I wanna see where this one goes.
