When I won Nano for the first time in 2011, I made an outline in October. This time, I came up with things during the last quarter of the prep month that will change the beginning of the novel.
If I had just started writing this novel in November without prepping and thought of this stuff, I wouldāve had to go back and extensively edit the novel itself, instead of modifying the outline. This is a much better way!
