To donate you just have to write raok in the "Group item ID's" box, then fill in the amount and submit.
As to your request for your friend, RAOK only gives three-month upgraded memberships. Since he has been a member since 2002, he has to have more reviews, at least 9 more. As of today, he has only one given during the last three months.
