Noticing Newbies

Greetings to all my fellow scribes.

So this is the "We're the New Kids" section. Glad to be here.

I've been at this writing thing for a while and have penned a couple pieces in several different genres, but, unlike my shoes or my clothes, or most things I own, I am still relatively new to the online writing world. It all jumpstarted when I joined Medium.com and started posting short stories there. I've been rather pleasantly surprised by the reactions so I thought "Hey, there are probably other sites where writers can interact with other writers and readers" and - VOILA - here I am.

Should I bring snacks? Wine?
