I'll add this metatextual (?) note: I figured out this formula by looking at the TWS storylines where Fane has discovered or is on the cusp of discovering memory- and anima-related technologies, and seeing how long it had taken them, and looking also at what plot differences were present between them. So the decision nodes I present, and the accelerations associated with them, are pretty closely aligned with the texts. I added the "Stellae interference" in order to get a small "fudge factor" in those places where the alignment wasn't close enough.

The only decision nodes mentioned that are NOT in TWS are those related to Blackwell and to a "partial" recovery of the Libra. I added those because it occurred to me while writing that those plot elements are logical narrative possibilities, and I wanted to record them while I was thinking of them. It's possible that other narrative possibilities (but not actualities) will occur to me, and I'll add them when they do.
