That would have been my assumption but like I said, it's been shown that the bands seem to record whoever's worn them. The example I gave is Evie's mask with her mind copied onto the band, but when Will swaps with Bodhi, Bodhi was able to know that it was Will who had swapped with him via Will's own memories recorded onto the band (unless I'm remembering it wrong).

So it seems like even a "filled" band will still copy something. Like you said, though, that's something that's never really come up before. If one wanted to do that then I'd say that, perhaps, the act of copying both physical and mental imago simultaneously can create weird or unforseen effects in the process with the obvious one being that it winds up taking longer than doing each separately. Perhaps, then, trying to mix faces on a glued mask/band combo could cause other unforseen effects i.e. mental imago being mixed in some way.

But this is just me spitballing off of a random thought I had. Not anything I want to or will do (at least not without permission from the Big Guy when/if he returns).
