I was planning to extend a series of vignettes leading up to a decision, which is why I made these all "Continue" options along the way. Making options for them wouldn't help advance the story because it's meant to be a soft time-skip, showcasing the character developing in a different way. The plan was (and still is, hopefully) to make a big set of options at the end, leaving that as a cliffhanger.
That said, I found a way to introduce some choice in the chapter meant for today, and even considered adding an option that surged naturally. My original plan was to make a vignette as with the previous chapters, but figured introducing a complication during these wasn't just natural, but progressed the story even further.
In any case, the branch saw a huge deluge of chapters, so it has ended up well at the end. Still at risk tomorrow, but at least I can advance two storylines in the near future.
