More than vague, it's a poetic way to say "nothing remains about her". At least, that's how I interpret it - that she was split into her metaphysical components and then erased. If I were to make an educated guess? In the realm of the imaginary. (Which is in and out of itself poetic, since they all live in our collective imaginations, no?) If someone with an incredible memory about Lucy were to gather her imago and essentia, then somehow create the necessary components to form an anima that was essentially her before being turned into a golem or weresuch, and then placed into a golem receptaculo, you might reclaim her - and even then, she may never be the same. But to entertain the thought. Where would she go? In "The Wandering Stars" , there is a vague suggestion of multiple worlds, of which one of the many varieties of Will (the golemized one, IIRC) is aware of because of a gift given by Margaret before her passing. From that object, he can capture other possible futures. You could argue that Lucy was moved into one such potential future/alternate universe, where she probably doesn't exist. Wilder conjecture? She's transported somehow into "Student Bodies" (either the original or rugal's redux version). Or any of the interactives in this site. (Maybe into "Skins" ? Just sayin'...) Or even into a story that Seuzz or one of us has yet to write! Or an even wilder conjecture? Why not into a story that is in our minds, but we have yet to write? ...but yeah, the most likely answer is that she was erased from existence. Poor Lucy. (At least in that branch.) |
