I lost my newly created item.

Hello Hello...I am back after many years but have forgotten all the inns and outs.

I started a new item called the Palouse Country. I saved it for editing but didn't get an ID number.
What could I have done to lose this and how cab i find it.
Truly appreciate you feedback.
