This does work, by the way. I was curious so I tried.

For example:

{xlink:https://www.writing.com/main/em/action/new/toid/101671099/in/1}{image:2319783}{/xlink}

Yields:

My best friend!  Open in new Window.

The image should link to the page where you're sending Ninja's United an email

Edit: hmm, doesn't seem that the image works completely in a forum post, at least not on my phone. But it seemed to work on a newsfeed post.
