One thing I almost forgot mentioning - the "over the top" writing is fun but it can be dangerous for someone seeking validation, because its tone is extremely enthusiastic but not critical.

It took quite a bit of dredging through my memory to work out what the tone Chat was adopting reminded me of. But after a bit of thought and a quick trip through youtube I found this clip: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x95n3eMYX0M. Specifically the bit at the end 'Oxygen is for losers', which kind of illustrates your point.
