There have been a lot of stories buried in BoM in which Will winds up sharing the book with other people, and we get a chance to see what they would do with the masks and the magic. So THAT is not the question I'm asking. I'm asking a "storytelling" question: Are there any other characters—who have had the SLP, or who have not—that you think would make interesting protagonists in a BoM story. And by protagonist, I mean the viewpoint character as well: the "you" through whom the story is told, and whose thoughts, emotions, insecurities, blusters, aggressions, etc., we get to see directly. There would be this difference between the kind of thing I ask above and BoM as it actually is: Will is very much a cipher, and intentionally so, because he is supposed to carry the interactive as a whole and so his "character" is supposed to emerge differently in different branches because his different choices shape and reveal different characters. What I'm asking is: Imagine a NON-interactive novel/novella told from the POV of a different BoM character who gets the SLP: Are there any such characters you think would be interesting as the protagonist/agent of such a story? |
