So, it was kind of interesting to see a couple of Scots word sneak their way into these chapters. I'm not 100% sure how authentic it feels to me, though I guess most readers wouldnae (hah!) be able to tell. Though I will say I haven't heard anyone use the word 'jessie' in years.
I did go back and dig out the chapter "Ye Cannae Fling Yer Pieces..." which details Kali's first day at school to see if it mentions a teacher name, which it doesn't. And it was one of those rare occasions when I read something I've written previously and actually enjoy it.
Interestingly, the Jeely Piece Song, which is used in the chapter and gives it its name was written at some unspecified time in the 1960s, which would put Kali's age at somewhere in the 60-70 bracket depending, though probably closer to mid 60s than anything else.
Anyway, I'm being unnecessarily pedantic. These are good chapters that I am enjoying.
