What are your plans for today? Have you gotten any packages in the mail? Are you going to dig into something yummy like carrot cake tonight? I just finished making a mix CD for you and I'll send it tomorrow along with your present. Leave it to me to never, ever be on time. I guess I consider people's birthdays to occur about a week after they actually happen, since my packages arrive so late.

I can't believe you're 19! I remember you as 14 years old, talking about how you wanted to live in England and be published someday and how your hair was down to your hips and you loved Madonna. What a glorious creature you've become!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
