Catalina aboards her family's ship. Just getting done with college to become a teacher, she's now on her way back to the United States. Her parents want her to become a school teacher, but she would rather
write stories and poems.
The bright sunshine shown through her bedroom
window. She sat up on her cot and looked at
the mohagany desk to her right. She hurried to get dressed. Today she would have lunch with Thomas Kellinger, the Captain's assistant, and also a crush of hers. She gets
into her best dress, and shoes and heads to the deck. Of course, she must have breakfast.
Sitting on deck, and letting the sun shine down on you, and letting the wind blow through your hair is the best way to enjoy the day. Your black curly hair hangs to your lower back. You took it out of your bun so that the wind could blow through it. "You know, I believe you're the first girl I've ever met who has dark hair with bright blue
eyes," Thomas said coming up to the front of
the ship with you. "Thank you Thomas," feeling flattered. "Are you ready for lunch?"
Thomas asked. "Almost. I would just like to rest on the deck if you don't mind," You reply politely. "That's fine with me," he replies leaning against the railing. "What is
that?" You ask looking far off into the distance? "I'm not sure. Let me go get the captain," Thomas replied.
